Rugged 14 design for harsh environments

The Dell Latitude 5424 is a military-grade notebook built to withstand extreme conditions. Its specialised chassis passes rigorous qualification testing for field reliability. Professionals working outdoors or in industrial settings gain a dependable mobile workstation.

Suited for field work, not for high-end graphics

This laptop serves users who need durability, sunlight-readable display and long battery options with hot-swap capability. Integrated graphics limit its use for 3D rendering, video editing or modern gaming. Buyers requiring discrete GPU performance should consider a different system.

14.0-inch FHD non-touch screen at 1920 x 1080

The 14.0 inch panel delivers full HD resolution with high brightness for direct sunlight visibility. Non-touch operation avoids accidental input when wearing gloves. This display characteristic defines whether the device fits the intended outdoor workflow.

Questions about this item

Will the i7-8650U and 32 GB DDR4 keep up with my older USB 3.0 dock and dual 1080p monitors?

Yes, the quad-core processor and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 drive two external displays through the HDMI and DisplayPort outputs while the USB 3.0 ports handle legacy peripherals.

How do I verify the dual SSD configuration is active after first boot?

Open Disk Management in Windows 10 Pro and confirm both the 256 GB M.2 and the 2 TB M.2 volumes appear with correct capacities and drive letters.

Does the box include the Dell OEM charger and are any cables or caddies needed for the second M.2 drive?

The Dell OEM charger is included; the 2 TB M.2 drive is factory-installed so no extra caddy or cable is required.
