Rugged 14-inch FHD laptop

The Dell Latitude 5424 is a rugged 14.0-inch laptop with a 1920 x 1080 non-touch display built for harsh environments. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor with 16GB DDR4 memory. Storage combines a 128GB M.2 SSD and a 2TB M.2 SSD. Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles integrated graphics.

Ports and physical setup

The chassis provides USB 3.0 ports, USB Type-C, HDMI, DisplayPort, a serial port and RJ-45 Ethernet. No internal installation is required; the unit ships ready to use with a Dell OEM charger. The rugged construction adds weight and thickness compared to standard ultraportables. Verify that your bags, mounts or vehicle docks accommodate the larger footprint.

Wireless and power options

The supplier notes Wi-Fi, optional LTE 4G and dedicated GPS, though WWAN may not be included. Internal 6-cell and 9-cell battery packs are available, with an optional hot-swap bridge battery for extended shifts. Confirm which battery configuration and wireless modules your specific unit carries before ordering.
