Rugged 14-inch FHD laptop for field work

The DELL Latitude 5424 is a military-grade notebook built to survive harsh environments and direct sunlight. Its 14.0-inch non-touch display reaches 1920 x 1080 resolution for clear outdoor visibility. An 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor runs up to 4.20 GHz with 8 GB DDR4 memory. Dual storage combines a 128 GB M.2 drive with a 2 TB M.2 drive.

Ports and wireless ready for mobile deployment

Connectivity includes USB 3.0 ports, USB Type-C, HDMI, DisplayPort, a serial port and RJ-45 Ethernet. Intel Dual Band Wireless and Bluetooth handle cable-free links while optional WWAN and GPS modules support field roaming. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit ships pre-installed with a Dell OEM charger. No internal tinkering is required; the rugged chassis seals components against dust and shock.

Check power and mount needs before ordering

Verify that your vehicle dock or desk mount matches the 5424 chassis footprint. Confirm the charger tip and voltage suit your regional mains supply. Ensure any required WWAN or GPS modules are present, as the supplier notes they might not be included. Buyers needing a touchscreen or more than 8 GB of memory should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 14.0-inch FHD display and Intel UHD Graphics 620 are functioning correctly after setup?

Power on the laptop, verify the 1920 x 1080 resolution in Windows display settings, and check Device Manager to confirm the Intel UHD Graphics 620 driver is active without errors.

What accessories are included with the Latitude 5424 and what must I purchase separately?

The Dell OEM charger is included. The specification lists USB 3.0, USB Type C, HDMI, DisplayPort, Serial and RJ-45 ports, so any cables, docks or peripherals for those interfaces are separate purchases.

Which storage configuration should I choose between the 128 GB M.2 and 2 TB M.2 dual SSD setup?

The unit ships with both drives installed: a 128 GB M.2 SSD for the operating system and a 2 TB M.2 SSD for data, giving you fast boot performance plus high capacity in one device.
