Built for harsh environments

The DELL Latitude Rugged 5424 is a 14.0-inch FHD laptop designed to withstand extreme conditions. It uses a quad-core Intel Core i7-8650U processor with 32GB DDR4 memory and a dual-storage configuration of 128GB plus 2TB SSD. The non-touch display offers 1920 x 1080 resolution for clear viewing in direct sunlight. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Verify your peripheral needs

This unit provides USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C connection, HDMI, DisplayPort, a serial port and RJ-45 Ethernet. Confirm that your existing docks, monitors and legacy devices match these interfaces before ordering. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, while dedicated GPS and optional LTE 4G support field operations. The supplier notes that WWAN hardware might not be included with every unit.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles everyday visual tasks without a discrete GPU, helping to limit heat output and fan noise during typical office workloads. Processor speeds reach up to 4.20 GHz under load, so sustained heavy compute will raise thermals accordingly. Internal 6-cell and 9-cell battery options deliver all-day runtime, and an optional hot-swap bridge battery allows continuous operation away from wall power.
