Rugged 14 FHD touchscreen

The DELL Latitude 5424 is a new 14.0-inch rugged laptop built to military-grade durability standards for harsh environments. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor with 16GB DDR4 memory. The display offers 1920 x 1080 resolution with 10-point touch input that works with gloves.

Field workers needing glove-friendly touch

This unit suits technicians, surveyors and first responders who require a sunlight-readable screen and sealed ports for dust or moisture exposure. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 and lack of discrete GPU make it unsuitable for buyers who need 3D rendering, CAD acceleration or gaming-grade frame rates.

Dual M.2 SSD configuration

Storage combines a 128GB M.2 drive with a 2TB M.2 drive, giving a fast boot volume plus a large data partition in a single chassis. Verify that your deployment workflow can manage the split volumes before ordering.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 128 GB M.2 or the 2 TB M.2 as my boot drive?

Use the 128 GB M.2 for Windows 11 Pro and key apps, then store project files and media on the 2 TB M.2 for maximum space.

What does the 4.20 GHz turbo speed mean when I am running field applications?

The i7-8650U quad-core can burst to 4.20 GHz for short compute bursts, then settles lower to manage heat inside the rugged chassis.

What external displays can I run from the USB Type C, HDMI and DisplayPort connections?

The USB Type C, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs each drive a 1920 x 1080 panel, letting you build a three-screen setup in the field.
