Ready for daily work

The Dell Latitude 5490 is a 14.0 inch laptop built for professionals who need a reliable Windows 10 Pro machine. It ships with an Intel Core i7 8th Gen processor running at a minimum 1.90GHz, 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD. The non-touch Wide UXGA display offers a 1366 x 768 resolution suited to office tasks and web browsing.

Portable build with backlit keyboard

The black chassis includes a backlit keyboard for typing in low light and integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 for standard video output. Bluetooth is available for wireless peripherals. The manufacturer notes moderate cosmetic scratches or scuffs on the bezel and casing, with possible minor cracks, while all units pass intensive testing by certified technicians. No optical drive is fitted and the expansion slot covers may be absent.

512GB SSD decides capacity fit

The solid-state drive provides between 480GB and 512GB of usable space, which determines whether the laptop can hold your local files and applications. Buyers who need more storage or a higher-resolution screen should look elsewhere. Memory uses two slots totalling 16GB and the operating system includes a hard-disk-based recovery image.
