Verify ports and cosmetic expectations

The screen may show light scratches, up to two dead pixels, or small bruises. Confirm your peripheral needs as the supplier data lists zero USB ports.

Suits office work on a budget

This configuration suits users needing a Windows 10 Pro machine for general productivity with 16GB RAM and solid-state storage. Buyers who want a pristine chassis, a higher resolution screen, dedicated graphics, or a larger SSD capacity should look at something else.

Questions about this item

What accessories come in the box with the Latitude 5490, and what must I buy separately?

The laptop ships with Windows 10 Pro pre-installed on the 256GB SSD and includes 16GB of RAM. A power adapter is typically supplied; any docking station, external monitor or carrying case would be separate purchases.

Should I choose the 256GB SSD or a larger capacity for this model?

The 256GB drive provides 240GB to 256GB of usable space and suits general office workloads. Select a 512GB option (480GB to 512GB actual) only if you store large media libraries or multiple virtual machines locally.

How does the 1.90GHz Core i7 perform in everyday work on this 14.0" system?

The 8th-generation Core i7 with Intel HD Graphics 620 handles web browsing, document editing and video conferencing smoothly on the 1366 x 768 display. Heavy rendering or gaming will be limited by the integrated graphics and thermal design.
