Dual-drive flexibility

A 128 GB M.2 primary drive pairs with a 2 TB secondary SSD, giving fast boot space and a large volume for projects. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 4, Bluetooth, HDMI, three USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports (one with PowerShare), one USB Type-C with DisplayPort, VGA, RJ-45, an SD slot, audio combo jack and an optional SIM tray. Optional Thunderbolt over the Type-C port is noted.

Suits mobile professionals needing touch

The combination of touchscreen, dual SSD layout and 32 GB RAM fits users who run multiple business apps and carry large local datasets. Buyers who want a dedicated GPU, a higher-resolution panel or a lighter chassis should look at something else.

Questions about this item

Will the 32 GB DDR4 memory need upgrading for future workloads?

The 32 GB DDR4 is already the maximum configuration offered for this model, so no further memory upgrade is possible.

What limits sustained performance of the i5-8350U quad-core processor?

The CPU runs at 1.70 GHz base and can reach 3.60 GHz boost; thermal throttling under long loads is the first limit you will hit.

How much fan noise and heat should I expect when the 15.6" FHD touchscreen runs all day?

Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 keeps power draw low, so the system stays relatively quiet and warm rather than hot during continuous use.
