Dell Latitude 5590 14.0" Business Laptop

This new Dell Latitude 5590 is a 14.0 inch business laptop built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor. It runs at 1.70 GHz with a 3.60 GHz maximum turbo frequency. The system includes 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a dual-storage configuration with a 512 GB M.2 primary drive plus a 2 TB secondary solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed.

Suited for office multitasking

The quad-core CPU and 16 GB DDR4 handle typical productivity workloads and multiple browser tabs. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives the 1920 x 1080 IPS non-touch display. Dual solid-state drives provide fast boot times and large capacity for local files. Buyers who need a touchscreen, discrete graphics or a lighter chassis should consider other models.

Dual-drive layout: 512 GB M.2

The defining specification is the combined storage arrangement. A 512 GB M.2 drive serves as the primary volume while a separate 2 TB solid-state drive adds secondary capacity. Both drives use solid-state technology for silent operation and quick access. Verify that this two-drive layout matches your storage strategy before purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the i5-8350U and Intel UHD Graphics 620 are running correctly after first boot?

Open Task Manager and check that the processor shows four cores and eight threads with a base speed of 1.7 GHz, then verify the display adapter is listed as Intel UHD Graphics 620 in Device Manager.

What ships in the box and what must I purchase separately for the 512 GB M.2 plus 2 TB dual SSD configuration?

The laptop, power adapter and Windows 10 Pro licence are included; no extra drives, memory modules or operating-system media are required because 16 GB DDR4 RAM and both SSDs are already installed.

Should I choose the 14.0 inch or 15.6 inch display version for the Latitude 5590?

The specifications list a 14.0 inch FHD IPS panel at 1920 x 1080, so select the 14.0 inch model to match the documented screen size and resolution.
