Built for mobile professionals

This Dell Latitude 5590 is a 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen laptop powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor. It comes with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive setup combining a 128 GB M.2 SSD with a 1 TB secondary SSD. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Suits users needing touch input

The IPS touchscreen and convertible form factor support direct interaction for presentations or field work. The dual-drive configuration separates the operating system from large data sets without requiring external drives. Buyers who need a dedicated graphics card for rendering or gaming should consider other options.

Deciding spec: 15.6-inch FHD IPS touchscreen

This panel size and touch capability define the device's primary use case for mobile collaboration. The 1920 x 1080 resolution on a 15.6-inch diagonal provides readable text and precise touch targets. If a non-touch display or a smaller 14.0-inch chassis is preferred, this model will not match that requirement.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 128 GB M.2 plus 1 TB secondary SSD or a single larger drive?

This unit ships with a 128 GB M.2 primary drive and a 1 TB secondary SSD already installed, giving you fast boot space and a large data volume in one chassis.

What does the 1.9 GHz base clock with 4.2 GHz turbo mean for everyday work?

The quad-core i7-8650U runs at 1.90 GHz normally and can boost to 4.20 GHz for short bursts, so office apps stay responsive while heavier loads get temporary extra speed.

What can the USB Type-C port with DisplayPort actually drive?

The USB Type-C connection carries DisplayPort video, letting you attach an external monitor without a separate video cable.
