Business laptop for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 5590 is a 15.6 inch Full HD business laptop built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD. It ships with Windows 11 Pro installed and uses integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 for everyday visual tasks. The IPS panel delivers a 1920 x 1080 resolution in a non-touch format suitable for office work and travel.

Verify ports, power and screen size match your dock

Before ordering, confirm that your existing docking station or monitor cables align with the available HDMI, DisplayPort over USB Type-C, VGA, three USB 3.1 Gen1 ports (one with PowerShare), RJ45 Ethernet, audio combo jack and SD card slot. Check that your current power adapter uses the same barrel connector and that the 15.6 inch form factor fits your bag or workspace. The optional Thunderbolt capability over the Type-C port depends on the specific unit configuration.

Steady thermals for long office sessions

Under sustained load the quad-core i7-8650U runs at its 1.9 GHz base frequency with a turbo ceiling of 4.2 GHz, while the integrated UHD 620 graphics share system memory rather than using dedicated VRAM. The aluminium chassis dissipates heat across the keyboard deck and bottom surface, allowing the fan to maintain moderate speeds during extended document editing, video calls or multi-tab browsing. Performance remains consistent without the sharp throttling seen in thinner ultraportables.
