15.6" FHD IPS Touchscreen Ultrabook

The Dell Latitude 5590 is a 15.6 inch Full HD IPS touchscreen laptop powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor. It comes with 32 GB DDR4 RAM and a 256 GB SSD running Windows 11 Pro. This configuration suits professionals needing a responsive display and strong multitasking memory in a durable chassis.

Connectivity and Expansion Ports

The unit provides HDMI, VGA, DisplayPort over USB Type-C with optional Thunderbolt, three USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports including one PowerShare, RJ45 Ethernet, an SD card slot, and an audio combo jack. An external SIM tray is also present for optional mobile broadband. These ports allow direct connection to legacy monitors, modern displays, wired networks, and peripherals without extra adapters.

Memory and Storage Headroom

The installed 32 GB DDR4 RAM handles heavy multitasking, virtual machines, and large datasets comfortably. The 256 GB SSD offers fast boot and application load times but fills quickly with large media libraries or multiple VM images. Buyers who want more storage or a second drive bay should consider other configurations.

Questions about this item

Can the 32 GB DDR4 memory be upgraded later?

The 32 GB DDR4 is the maximum configuration offered for this model, so no further memory upgrade is possible.

What thermal limit appears first during extended heavy workloads?

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 shares system memory and has no dedicated cooling, so GPU thermal throttling typically arrives before the CPU hits its 3.60 GHz turbo ceiling.

How loud does the fan get and how hot does the chassis become when the laptop runs all day?

The thin 0.9" chassis and 4.19 lb weight leave limited airflow, so sustained loads push fan speed up noticeably and the keyboard deck grows warm to the touch.
