Built for mobile CAD and simulation

The Precision 7730 pairs an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8750H six-core processor with a dedicated NVIDIA Quadro P3200 6GB GDDR5 GPU. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD provide capacity for large assemblies and datasets. The 17.3 inch FHD IPS panel covers 72% colour gamut for accurate visual review. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed.

Check power and peripheral needs

Verify that your workflow can operate within the supplied Dell AC adapter and the available port selection: two USB 3.1 Gen 1, one Thunderbolt 3, one HDMI 2.0 and a headset jack. The system has no internal 2.5 inch drive bay, so additional local storage must use the single M.2 slot or external devices. Confirm that any specialised CAD licences transfer to a mobile workstation environment.

Fits a desk-to-field workflow

Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI 2.0 drive external displays without a dock, freeing desk space when stationary. The single M.2 slot means future capacity upgrades replace the existing drive rather than supplement it. Integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth handle wireless peripherals, while the 6GB Quadro P3200 offloads rendering from the CPU, leaving headroom for simulation tasks.
