Mobile workstation for demanding workflows

The Dell Precision 7730 7740 is a 17.3-inch mobile workstation built for professionals who need reliable performance in CAD, 3D modelling and data-intensive applications. It combines an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8750H six-core processor with 32 GB DDR4 memory and a dedicated NVIDIA Quadro P3200 graphics card. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Storage capacity and system headroom

Dual M.2 drives provide 256 GB plus 1 TB of solid-state storage, giving fast boot times and ample space for large project files and datasets. The 32 GB DDR4 memory handles multi-tasking across heavy engineering software, though the platform maximum of 128 GB DDR4 means future expansion is possible. The six-core CPU reaches 4.10 GHz with Turbo Boost for burst workloads.

Thermals noise and power in daily use

Dell's revised cooling design manages heat from the 6 GB GDDR5 Quadro P3200 and hexa-core processor during sustained render or simulation tasks. Fan noise remains moderate under typical office loads and rises only during extended maximum-performance periods. The included AC adapter supplies sufficient power for the 17.3-inch FHD IPS panel and full component load.
