Home-theatre owners needing one source to feed

Installers who want to send audio from a TV, console or streamer to an amplifier, a soundbar and a second zone simultaneously will find this plug-and-play splitter convenient. Buyers who require more than three outputs or need format conversion beyond the listed codecs should look at a different device.

Sustained operation with signal retiming and ESD

The built-in retiming circuit keeps the digital stream stable over cable runs up to 40 m while maintaining loss below .2 dB per metre. Maximum working current is 100 mA from the 5 V USB supply, so the unit stays cool during continuous use. Peak wavelength is 650 nm for reliable fibre coupling.

Questions about this item

What source device with a TOSLINK output do I need to feed the splitter's single input?

Any device with a SPDIF TOSLINK output — such as a TV, Blu-ray player, or game console — connects to the single input port.

Will my older amplifier that only accepts stereo PCM work with the three TOSLINK outputs?

Yes, the splitter passes LPCM 2.0 unchanged to each output, so legacy stereo gear receives the same signal.

How can I verify the splitter is powered and passing audio after I connect everything?

The unit draws up to 100 mA from the included USB power cable; when powered, each output delivers a 650 nm optical signal at up to 16 Mbps.
