Gaming laptop with 14-core Intel processor

The Lenovo LOQ 15 is a 15.6-inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core i7-13650HX 14-core processor that reaches 4.9 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of memory and a 512 GB PCIe SSD. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 graphics card provides 8 GB of GDDR7 video memory. Windows 11 Home comes pre-installed for immediate use.

144 Hz Full HD display and port selection

The 15.6-inch screen delivers a 1920 x 1080 resolution at 144 Hz for smooth motion in fast-paced titles. External monitors can be driven through the HDMI 2.1 output or the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port that also supports DisplayPort and Power Delivery. Three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports add 5 Gbps connections for peripherals. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 handle wireless links.

Check power and upgrade needs before ordering

The system draws power through a rectangular barrel jack; verify that your spare adapters match this connector. Memory and storage upgrades require the chassis to be opened by a technician, so confirm whether you plan to expand the 16 GB RAM or 512 GB SSD later. No SD card reader is fitted, so workflows that rely on card offload will need a USB adapter. The 5.28-pound weight and 0.94-inch profile affect bag choice for daily transport.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 16 GB or 32 GB memory option for this laptop?

The laptop ships with 16 GB DDR5 installed; the 32 GB figure appears only in the supplier title and is not the shipped configuration.

What does the 4.9 GHz turbo speed mean for everyday gaming?

The i7-13650HX can reach 4.9 GHz on up to 14 cores and 20 threads when thermals allow, giving short bursts of high frame rates in CPU-bound titles.

How fast is the USB-C port and what can it drive?

The single USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C runs at 10 Gbps, supports Power Delivery and DisplayPort 2.1, so it can charge the laptop and drive an external monitor simultaneously.
