14" FHD Touchscreen Ultrabook

This Lenovo ThinkPad T480 or T490 is a 14.0" FHD touchscreen ultrabook running Windows 10 Pro or Windows 11 Pro. It uses an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8550U quad-core processor at 1.8GHz with 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 512 GB SSD. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles the display.

Upgrade from dual-core or HDD systems

Moving from a dual-core laptop or one with a mechanical hard drive brings a clear jump in responsiveness for office workloads and multitasking. The quad-core CPU and SSD combination cuts boot and application load times. The improvement is most noticeable when running several browser tabs, Office apps and video calls together.

Suits mobile professionals needing touch input

This unit suits professionals who want a 14" touchscreen ultrabook with a full port selection including HDMI and RJ-45 Ethernet. Buyers who need a dedicated graphics card for rendering or gaming should look elsewhere. Those requiring more than 16 GB RAM or a larger 1 TB drive will need a different configuration.
