The Lenovo ThinkPad T490 is a 14.0-inch Full HD laptop built around an Intel Core i7-8550U quad-core processor. It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB solid-state drive. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles the display output. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed on the unit.

Who this suits; who it does not

This ultrabook fits mobile professionals who need a lightweight 14.0-inch machine for office applications, web browsing and video calls. Buyers who want a touchscreen, discrete graphics or a larger screen should look at something else. Configurations requiring more than 8 GB of memory or more than 256 GB of storage are not met by this specific unit.

Quad-core i7-8550U with 8 GB DDR4

The processor is an 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8550U with four cores and a base frequency of 1.8 GHz. System memory is fixed at 8 GB of DDR4. This combination determines whether the laptop can handle your daily workload without upgrades.
