What the LUOM HDMI698352 splitter does

This LUOM HDMI698352 unit takes a single HDMI source and sends the same signal to two displays at once. It suits anyone who wants the same picture on a living-room TV and a bedroom screen without swapping cables. The box is new, black, and has a 5 in. lead. It works with common sources such as a PC, laptop, set-top box, DVD player or older consoles like the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Resolution and bandwidth limits

The splitter handles video up to 1920 x 1080 at 1080p and lists 225 MHz bandwidth. It also accepts 480i, 576i, 480p, 576p, 720p and 1080i signals. The HDMI 1.4 b interface means 4K at 60 Hz and higher refresh rates at 1080p are not supported. EDID handshake takes about four seconds, so displays may take a moment to appear after power-up.

Check your cables and source before ordering

Both outputs use standard HDMI female ports, so you need two male-to-male HDMI cables that are not supplied. Your source must output a resolution the splitter accepts — 1920 x 1080 or lower — and provide 0.5 to 1.0 volts p-p video signal with 5 volts p-p DDC. If you need to switch between several sources instead of duplicating one, this is not the right device.
