Two-pack magnetic USB-C adapter

This pack contains two straight USB-C magnetic adapters with male-to-female connectors. Each unit supports USB4 at 40Gbps data transfer, 8K video at 60Hz and Power Delivery up to 140W. They are intended for laptop users who want a quick-release connection that reduces wear on the device port.

24-pin gold-plated contacts and magnetic coupling

The adapters use 24 gold-plated pins inside a straight housing that snaps together magnetically. This design allows automatic alignment and a firm hold while still releasing under tension, protecting the laptop port from repeated plugging stress. A small cord strap is included for each adapter to keep them tethered when not in use.

USB4 40Gbps bandwidth ceiling

The USB4 interface caps throughput at 40Gbps, so any attached storage or dock cannot exceed that aggregate bandwidth. Video output is limited to a single 8K stream at 60Hz or dual 4K at 60Hz. Power delivery tops out at 140W and requires a compatible charger and cable to reach the maximum rate.

Questions about this item

Does the USB4 40 Gbps standard cap real-world throughput at 40 Gbps?

Yes, the adapter meets the USB4 specification with a 40 Gbps data rate, so practical throughput tops out at that ceiling when paired with a compliant host, cable and device.

What physical clearance does the straight magnetic tip need to sit flush?

The straight male-to-female tip requires a clear USB-C port face with no adjacent obstruction; the magnetic latch adds a few millimetres of depth, so recessed or tightly spaced ports may prevent a flush connection.

How is the adapter installed, and what step do users often miss?

Align the magnetic male end with the device port and let the magnets snap it home; the step people skip is verifying that the host, cable and charger all support 140 W PD and USB4 40 Gbps, otherwise the link falls back to lower speeds and power.
