Magnetic USB-C adapter for 140W charging

This magnetic USB-C adapter delivers up to 140W of power and 40Gbps data throughput while supporting 8K video at 60Hz. Its 180-degree straight design uses 24 gold-plated pins to maintain a secure connection. The magnetic coupling reduces physical wear on device ports during frequent attachment and removal. Two adapters and two cord straps are included in the package.

Sustained 140W delivery with magnetic stability

The adapter handles continuous 140W power delivery without the voltage drops that can occur with weaker magnetic couplings. Automatic output adjustment matches the connected device's requirements for safe charging. Data transfers at the full 40Gbps rate remain consistent during extended file operations. The rigid straight form factor prevents cable strain that could interrupt sustained workloads.

USB4 and Thunderbolt interface limits

The USB4 standard caps this adapter at 40Gbps bandwidth and 140W power delivery. Thunderbolt 3 and 4 hosts can utilise the full 40Gbps for data and video simultaneously. The 8K@60Hz video ceiling is defined by the available DisplayPort bandwidth within the USB4 tunnel. Devices requiring more than 140W or faster than 40Gbps cannot be supported by this interface generation.

Questions about this item

Does the 140W magnetic adapter get hot or draw extra power when used continuously?

It delivers up to 140W PD charging and 40Gbps data without active cooling; heat depends on the host device and cable quality.

What must I already own for the LD140W to function?

A USB-C host and cable that support USB4 or Thunderbolt, plus a PD charger rated for the power you need.

Will the 180° straight connector work with my older USB-C laptop that only does 5Gbps?

Yes — it falls back to the host’s maximum speed and power, so legacy ports still operate at their rated limits.
