Magnetic USB-C converter for high-power charging

This two-pack provides male-to-female USB-C magnetic adapters rated for 140W power delivery and 40Gbps data transfer under the USB4 standard. The straight connector design supports 8K video at 60Hz while reducing physical wear on device ports through automatic magnetic attachment and detachment. It suits users who frequently dock laptops or tablets and want a quick-release connection that maintains full bandwidth and charging speed.

Check port orientation and cable rating before use

Verify that your host device and charger both support USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 to reach the stated 40Gbps throughput and 140W charging. The adapter passes power up to 240W maximum, but actual wattage depends on the connected charger, cable and device negotiation. Ensure any active cables in the chain are rated for the target power and data speeds, otherwise the link will fall back to lower modes.

Sustained throughput relies on thermal headroom

Under continuous heavy loads such as 8K video streaming or large file transfers, the adapter maintains 40Gbps signalling provided the host controller and cable remain within their thermal limits. Magnetic contact resistance stays stable during extended sessions, but total system power draw — up to 240W peak — can cause upstream throttling if the charger or laptop firmware reduces output to manage temperature. Expect consistent performance only when the entire chain has adequate cooling.

Questions about this item

What is included in the 2-pack besides the two magnetic USB-C adapters?

The package contains two USB-C magnetic adapters and two small black cord straps for cable management.

Which version should I choose to get the full 40Gbps data rate and 8K 60Hz video?

The LD140W model is the single version offered; it supports USB4 at 40Gbps and 8K at 60Hz when used with a compatible host, cable and display.

What does the 140W charging figure mean when I connect this adapter to my laptop?

The adapter can pass up to 140W (28V/5A) of Power Delivery, so a capable charger and cable will charge a MacBook Pro or similar laptop at full speed without loss.
