240W Magnetic USB-C Adapter

The LUOM LD240W is a male-to-male USB-C magnetic adapter rated for 240W power delivery and 40Gbps data transfer. It supports 8K video output at 60Hz and features a 180-degree straight design. The magnetic coupling allows one-handed connection and releases safely if the cable is pulled, protecting the device port from wear and accidental drops. It is aimed at users who frequently dock or charge high-power USB-C laptops.

Replaces standard USB-C cables

This adapter upgrades a fixed cable into a magnetic quick-release link without sacrificing USB4 bandwidth or 240W charging capability. The jump is worth it when you connect and disconnect a laptop many times a day, or when a tripping hazard makes a breakaway connection safer. It is not for buyers who need a longer reach, because the adapter adds no cable length. It is also not for setups that require a right-angle connector, since this model is straight.

Sustained 240W charging and 40Gbps throughput

Gold-plated 24-pin contacts maintain full USB4 speed and 240W delivery during extended sessions, not just in short bursts. The magnetic hold stays secure under normal desk vibration but releases cleanly under strain. A soft white LED confirms the link is active while charging. The package includes two adapters and two cord straps for cable management.

Questions about this item

Does the 180-degree straight shape need any clearance behind the USB-C port?

The straight 180-degree body sits flush with the port, so only the depth of the adapter itself is required behind the device.

How do the magnetic halves align during installation, and what mistake should be avoided?

The two magnetic halves snap together automatically; forcing them at an angle can bend the 24 gold-plated pins.

When should the two included cord straps be replaced?

Replace the small black straps when they no longer hold the cable securely or show visible wear.
