Splitter for Dual Displays

This LUOM OZF12C unit takes one HDMI source and mirrors it to two screens such as monitors, projectors or televisions. It also provides an HDMI audio-only path for a soundbar or AV receiver. The device is aimed at users who need identical video and sound on two outputs simultaneously.

HDMI 2.0b Bandwidth Limit

The splitter operates within the 18.5 Gbps ceiling of the HDMI 2.0b interface, so 4K at 60 Hz with full 4:4:4 colour sampling is the highest supported signal. It handles HDR10+ and HDCP 2.3 but cannot pass higher refresh rates or newer HDMI 2.1 features. CEC control and extended desktop modes are not supported.

4K and 1080p Mixed Outputs

When one display accepts 4K at 60 Hz and the other only 1080p, the splitter downscales the second output automatically while the first remains at 4K. It does not downscale 4K 4:2:2 signals to 1080p. With standard AWG26 cable, 1080p reaches 15 metres and 4K reaches 8 metres.

Questions about this item

Which LUOM OZF12C configuration should I pick for splitting one source to two screens?

The OZF12C is a single fixed model: one HDMI input feeds two HDMI outputs, each capable of 4K@60Hz, with an integrated HDMI audio extractor on the second output.

What does the 4K@60Hz rating mean when I connect a TV and a soundbar?

Both HDMI outputs mirror the source at up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz with RGB 4:4:4 colour; the second output also passes Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and 7.1-channel LPCM to an AV receiver or soundbar.

How does the HDMI 2.0b interface limit cable length at 4K?

At 4K@60Hz the 18.5 Gbps bandwidth supports runs up to 26 ft (8 m) with AWG26 cable; at 1080p or lower the same cable reaches 50 ft (15 m).
