The LUOM OZV8C extracts audio from a single HDMI source and delivers it through optical Toslink SPDIF and 3.5 mm stereo outputs while passing the video signal unchanged to a display. It supports resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz with 18 Gbps bandwidth and HDCP 1.4 compliance. The unit includes a 5 V power adapter and offers three selectable audio EDID modes: TV, 2.0 CH and 5.1 CH.

Suits setups that need separate audio paths

Buyers connecting a game console, streaming stick or Blu-ray player to a TV while routing sound to a soundbar, amplifier or headphones will find the dual audio outputs convenient. The extractor does not decode Dolby Digital Plus, so systems that require that format on the optical or analogue outputs should look at a different device.
