Fully rugged detachable 2-in-1

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-20 is a new fully rugged laptop that detaches into a 10.1-inch tablet. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core m5-6Y57 processor with 16GB memory and a 500GB SSD. The magnesium alloy chassis meets MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F and IP65 certifications for drop, shock, vibration, dust and water resistance.

Field workers needing one-handed tablet mode

This unit suits mobile professionals who require a lightweight 3.9-pound device with 4G LTE multi-carrier connectivity and a built-in handle that doubles as a kickstand. The capacitive multi-touch screen supports gloved use and includes a digitizer pen for precise input. Buyers who need a traditional clamshell-only notebook or larger display should look elsewhere.

Detaches with one hand; pen and adapter included

The laptop separates into a tablet using a single-hand release mechanism, and the integrated handle folds out as a kickstand for desk use. A digitizer pen and power adapter are supplied in the box. No optical drive is fitted, and maximum memory is fixed at 16GB, so upgrades are not possible.

Questions about this item

What operating system must I already have licences for if I want to downgrade from the installed Windows 10 Pro?

The unit ships with Windows 10 Pro; any earlier Windows version would need its own licence and driver compatibility check.

Will my existing 802.11a/b/g/n wireless access points work with the built-in WLAN?

Yes, the laptop supports 802.11a/b/g/n so it will associate with those older access points at their maximum rates.

How can I verify the 2D bar laser scanner is functioning after setup?

Open a text editor, scan a known barcode and confirm the decoded string appears instantly at the cursor position.
