This PCIe combo card adds two DB9 RS232 serial ports and one DB25 parallel port to a modern desktop through a single expansion slot. Bandwidth and slot constraints

Heavy simultaneous traffic on both COM ports and the LPT port will contend for that single lane, limiting peak aggregate throughput. Driver support covers Windows and Linux without extra kernel modules.
