Adds a Type-E port and 19/20-pin USB 3.0 header to a PCIe slot for front-panel USB-C access
This PCIe expansion card adds a Type-E port and a 19/20-pin internal header so a motherboard without a native front-panel USB-C connector can drive a case’s USB-C port. It is intended for DIY builders who want to modernise an older chassis without replacing the motherboard.
The card occupies a single PCIe slot and uses a standard full-height bracket that fits regular desktop chassis. It connects directly to the existing front-panel cable, avoiding extra wiring work, and relies on common system drivers for plug-and-play operation under Windows and Linux.
With no active cooling on the board the card runs passively and adds negligible heat to the case interior. Power is drawn from the PCIe slot itself so no auxiliary connectors are required and acoustic impact is effectively zero during normal file-transfer workloads.

The USB 3.0 19/20pin header tops out at 5 Gbps, so sustained throughput cannot exceed that ceiling.
The card has no active cooling and draws minimal power, so it adds negligible heat and zero fan noise inside the chassis.
A spare 19/20-pin USB 3.0 internal header on the motherboard is required for the front-panel cable.
