Velztorm Pilum Ryzen 7 3700X Gaming Desktop

This Velztorm Pilum desktop is a pre-built gaming PC powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X eight-core processor running at 3.6 GHz up to 4.4 GHz. It includes 64GB of DDR4 memory and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card with 8GB GDDR6. The system targets gamers and content creators who want a ready-to-use Windows 10 Pro machine with high memory capacity and dedicated graphics performance.

PCIe 4.0 GPU Interface And 802.11n Wireless Limits

The RTX 3070 connects via a PCIe 4.0 slot providing high bandwidth for the GPU. Wireless connectivity uses 802.11n Wi-Fi which offers lower throughput and higher latency than newer standards, potentially affecting online gaming stability. Wired Ethernet is available for consistent network performance. The 750W power supply delivers power to all components including the liquid CPU cooler and RGB lighting.

Pre-Assembled Build With Liquid Cooling

The system arrives fully assembled and tested by technicians so no internal hardware installation is required. The 120mm AIO liquid CPU cooler is pre-mounted reducing the risk of mounting errors or thermal paste issues. Buyers who want to upgrade storage later should verify physical drive bay availability and motherboard slot compatibility before purchasing additional drives.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 64 GB DDR4 option or the 128 GB DDR4 option for this Pilum build?

The 64 GB DDR4 DIMM configuration suits most gaming and multitasking workloads, while the 128 GB DDR4 option is aimed at heavy content creation or virtualisation that can use the extra capacity.

What does the Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz base clock with 4.4 GHz boost mean once the PC is assembled?

The 8-core processor runs at 3.6 GHz under sustained loads and can reach 4.4 GHz on lighter threads, delivering strong single-thread speed for gaming and enough cores for background tasks.

How does the PCIe 4.0 interface on the RTX 3070 affect real-world throughput?

The graphics card uses a PCIe 4.0 x16 link, so it can move up to 8 GB of GDDR6 data at the full bus speed the platform provides without bottlenecks.
