1440VA Mini Tower UPS
The Vertiv PSI5-1500MT120 is a line-interactive uninterruptible power supply rated at 1440VA and 1350W for 120VAC environments. It protects workstations, network closets and small server rooms from outages, brownouts and noise interference.
Thermals, noise and power draw
The unit operates between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius with 20 to 90 percent non-condensing humidity. Automatic Voltage Regulation corrects input from 83 to 159VAC without engaging the battery, reducing heat and acoustic output during normal voltage fluctuations.
Six NEMA 5-15R outlets and Unity card slot
Six rear outlets distribute battery-backed and surge-protected power to connected loads. An optional Vertiv Liebert Unity communication card enables remote monitoring of up to 50 UPS units through the free Vertiv Trellis Power Insight application.

Questions about this item
How do I install the PSI5-1500MT120 and which connection step is often missed?
Plug the NEMA 5-15P input into a grounded 120 VAC wall outlet, then connect equipment to the six NEMA 5-15R outlets. The step often missed is configuring the output voltage to 100, 110, 115, 120 or 125 VAC to match your devices before powering on.
What maintenance will the PSI5-1500MT120 need and when should the battery be replaced?
The valve-regulated lead-acid battery typically lasts three to five years; replace it when runtime drops noticeably. Recharge takes six to eight hours to reach ninety percent after a full discharge. Keep the unit in 0 to 40 °C ambient temperature and twenty to ninety percent non-condensing humidity for maximum life.
What is the first limit the PSI5-1500MT120 hits under sustained heavy load?
The 1350 W output rating is the first hard limit; exceeding it triggers electronic over-current protection with latching shutdown. If the load stays within 1350 W, battery runtime becomes the next constraint, and prolonged operation at 40 °C may reduce component longevity.
