What this splitter does

This WRIARICH HDMI splitter takes one HDMI source and mirrors it to two displays simultaneously. It is intended for users who want the same 4K image on a pair of monitors, TVs or projectors without installing any drivers. The unit includes a short HDMI cable and a Micro USB cable for power.

Practical limits of the HDMI 1.4 link

The splitter passes video up to 4K at 30 Hz and is backward-compatible with 2K, 1080P and 720P at 60 Hz. Because the interface is limited to 30 Hz at the top resolution, fast-motion content will not look as smooth as it would at higher refresh rates. Audio travels inside the same HDMI stream so no separate audio cable is required.

Check your source and displays before ordering

Verify that your source device has an HDMI output and that both target displays accept the resolution and refresh rate you plan to use. The first connection may require you to select the correct mode in the display settings. This device only mirrors the signal; it cannot extend the desktop across two screens. Buyers who need independent content on each display should look for a different solution.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the model that supports 4K at 30 Hz or the one that supports 2K at 60 Hz?

This single model handles both; it outputs up to 4K at 30 Hz and is also compatible with 2K at 60 Hz, 1080P at 60 Hz and 720P at 60 Hz.

What does the 4K 30 Hz headline figure mean when I connect two monitors?

Both connected displays will mirror the same 4K signal at 30 Hz; the splitter does not extend the desktop across screens.

Which interface standard does the splitter use and what does it limit in practice?

It uses HDMI 1.4, which caps the maximum output to 4K at 30 Hz per port while supporting lower resolutions at 60 Hz.
