Built for harsh environments

The DELL Latitude 5424 Rugged is a 14.0-inch laptop constructed with specialised chassis materials and high-cycle testing for field work. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor with 8 GB DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD. The FHD non-touch display reaches 1920 x 1080 resolution for readable outdoor use.

Ports and expansion for mobile workflows

Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives the internal screen and external monitors through HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. USB 3.0 and USB Type-C ports connect peripherals, while a serial port and RJ-45 jack support legacy and wired networks. Optional WWAN and GPS modules extend connectivity where Wi-Fi is unavailable.

Sustained operation on internal power

Dual internal battery packs, including 6- and 9-cell options, provide all-day runtime for full-shift productivity. An optional hot-swap bridge battery allows continuous operation during cell changes without shutting down. The rugged chassis qualification ensures components maintain performance under vibration, temperature swings and repeated transport cycles.
