This unit suits professionals who need reliable operation outdoors or in industrial settings where standard laptops would fail.

Dual SSD storage with 16 GB DDR4

The system combines a 128 GB M.2 drive with a 1 TB M.2 drive for fast boot and large local capacity. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory supports multitasking across business applications. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles office workloads but is not suited for heavy 3D rendering or modern gaming titles.

Windows 10 Professional 64-bit comes pre-installed on the dual-drive configuration. Connectivity includes USB 3.0 ports, USB Type-C, HDMI, DisplayPort, a serial port and RJ-45 Ethernet. Questions about this item

Will the 14.0 inch FHD 1920 x 1080 display work with my older VGA monitor using an adapter?

The laptop provides HDMI and DisplayPort outputs; a suitable active adapter will let you connect a VGA monitor at up to 1920 x 1080 resolution.

How can I verify the Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor and 16GB DDR4 memory are recognised correctly after first boot?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab or run the System Information tool; both will show the 8350U with 6MB cache and the full 16GB DDR4 capacity.

Does the box include a USB Type-C dock or must I buy one separately to use the serial port and RJ-45?

The Dell OEM charger is included; the serial port and RJ-45 are built into the chassis, so no dock is required for those connections.
