Latitude 5590 touchscreen ultrabook

The Dell Latitude 5590 is a 15.6 inch Full HD IPS touchscreen laptop powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor. It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive layout that pairs a 128 GB M.2 SSD with a 1 TB secondary SSD. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Suited to mobile professionals needing pen

This configuration serves workers who value a responsive touch display, silent integrated graphics and a generous 1 TB of solid-state capacity for local files. Buyers who require discrete graphics performance, Thunderbolt-certified bandwidth or user-upgradeable memory beyond 8 GB should evaluate alternative platforms.

Sustained workloads stay cool on integrated graphics

The Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles typical office suites, browser-based apps and video playback without thermal throttling during long sessions. The quad-core CPU maintains its 1.7 GHz base clock under continuous load, while the dual SSD arrangement keeps read and write latency low for large project files. Fan noise remains modest in typical indoor environments.

Questions about this item

Does the laptop come with the Windows 11 Pro licence already activated?

Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on the 128 GB M.2 drive, so the system boots straight to the desktop without extra setup.

Will my existing VGA monitor work with the HDMI and USB-C DisplayPort outputs?

The chassis includes a native VGA port plus HDMI and USB-C DisplayPort, so older VGA screens connect directly while newer displays use the digital outputs.

How can I verify the i5-8350U is reaching its 3.60 GHz turbo speed under load?

Open Task Manager’s Performance tab or a tool such as HWMonitor while running a heavy workload; the CPU frequency graph should climb toward 3.60 GHz when thermals allow.
