Built for harsh environments

The Dell Latitude 5424 is a rugged 14.0-inch laptop constructed with specialised chassis materials and test-to-failure methodology. It targets field workers and mobile professionals who need a device that survives dust, vibration and temperature extremes without failing. Military-grade qualification means the hardware endures conditions that would stop a standard business notebook.

Straightforward deployment

Windows 11 Pro 64-bit arrives pre-installed on the 512 GB M.2 drive so the system boots to a ready desktop. Driver support for the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 and Intel dual-band wireless is mature, reducing first-boot friction. The only common snag is the single 8 GB DDR4 soldered module, which prevents memory upgrades later.

Dual-drive capacity

A 512 GB M.2 SSD handles the OS and active projects while a second 2 TB M.2 SSD stores large datasets and media. This combination gives ample headroom for offline maps, logs and installers. The Quad-core i5-8350U reaches 3.60 GHz for burst workloads, but sustained heavy compute will hit thermal limits in the sealed chassis.
