Built for harsh environments

The Dell Latitude 5424 Rugged is a 14.0-inch laptop constructed with specialised materials and a chassis tested to military-grade standards. It is designed for field workers, engineers and emergency responders who need a computer that survives vibration, dust, moisture and temperature extremes while running Windows 11 Pro.

Dual M.2 storage and legacy ports

The configuration ships with a 512 GB M.2 drive plus a 1 TB M.2 drive, giving two separate solid-state volumes for operating system and data redundancy. Connectivity includes USB 3.0 ports, USB Type-C, HDMI, DisplayPort, a serial port and RJ-45 Ethernet, so the machine interfaces with both modern peripherals and older industrial equipment without adapters.

Integrated graphics limit heavy visual work

The Intel UHD Graphics 620 engine handles office applications, mapping software and video playback but lacks the compute units required for 3D rendering, CAD modelling or modern gaming. Buyers who need discrete GPU performance should specify a different platform.

Questions about this item

How do I replace the dual M.2 SSDs if one fails?

Both M.2 slots are user-accessible; remove the bottom cover to swap the 512 GB or 1 TB drive.

What limits performance first during sustained heavy workloads?

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 reaches its thermal ceiling before the CPU, capping frame rates in 3D tasks.

How loud and hot does it get running all day on Windows 11 Pro?

Rugged chassis fans stay audible but steady; the 14.0 inch FHD panel and i7-8650U run warm without throttling under typical office loads.
