What this laptop is

The Dell Latitude 5590 is a 14.0 inch business notebook built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive layout pairing a 256 GB M.2 SSD with a 2 TB secondary SSD. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed on a 1920 x 1080 IPS non-touch display.

Check your setup first

Verify that your existing peripherals use USB 3.0, HDMI, VGA or DisplayPort over USB-C, as these are the video and data ports provided. The chassis measures 14.8 inches wide by 9.87 inches deep and weighs 4.19 lbs, so confirm your bag or dock accommodates those dimensions. An optional Thunderbolt port may be present on the USB-C connector depending on the exact unit.

Who this suits

This configuration suits professionals who need abundant local storage and 16 GB of RAM for multitasking office workloads on a durable 14 inch frame. Buyers who want a touchscreen, discrete graphics or a lighter ultrabook under three pounds should look elsewhere. Users requiring 32 GB of memory or a higher-wattage CPU will need a different platform.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and which accessories must be purchased separately?

The system ships with Windows 11 Pro installed and a power lead; no external drives, docking station or carrying case are included, so add those separately if required.

Should I choose the 8 GB or the 16 GB DDR4 configuration for this i5-8350U unit?

This listing specifies 16 GB DDR4, which matches the higher-capacity option and suits multitasking workloads better than the 8 GB alternative.

How does the dual-drive layout of 256 GB M.2 plus 2 TB secondary SSD perform in daily use?

The 256 GB primary drive holds the OS and apps for fast boot times, while the 2 TB secondary drive provides ample space for large project files and media libraries.
