DELL Latitude 5590 14.0" Quad-Core i7

The DELL Latitude 5590 is a 14.0-inch business laptop powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor. It comes equipped with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive configuration pairing a 256 GB M.2 SSD with a 1 TB secondary SSD. The system runs Windows 11 Pro on a 1920 x 1080 IPS non-touch display with integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620.

Suits mobile professionals needing high memory

This configuration suits users who require 32 GB of RAM for heavy multitasking and the combined speed and capacity of a dual-SSD setup. Buyers who need a dedicated graphics card for rendering or gaming should look elsewhere. Those requiring a touchscreen or a display larger than 14.0 inches will not find those features here.

32 GB DDR4 memory decides fit

The 32 GB DDR4 memory capacity is the primary factor determining whether this unit matches the workload. If the intended applications demand more memory than this fixed amount, the laptop will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the laptop ship with a power adapter or only the battery?

The unit includes the Dell 65 W AC adapter and power cord required to charge the 4-cell battery.

Should I pick the 32 GB DDR4 configuration or the 8 GB option for heavy multitasking?

Choose the 32 GB DDR4 build; it provides four times the memory headroom for virtual machines and large datasets.

How does the 1.9 GHz base clock with 4.2 GHz turbo affect real-world compile times?

The quad-core i7-8650U sustains higher frequencies under load, cutting typical C++ build times roughly in half versus dual-core U-series chips.
