Dell Latitude 5590 15.6" Touchscreen

This new Dell Latitude 5590 is a 15.6 inch Full HD touchscreen ultrabook built for professionals who need a durable, portable workstation. Suits mobile workers needing touch input

The 32 GB DDR4 memory and quad-core CPU support heavy multitasking and virtual machines. The IPS touchscreen aids presentations and field work. Buyers who need discrete graphics for rendering or gaming should look elsewhere. The integrated GPU limits 3D performance. No dedicated video memory is included.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 512 GB SSD in the Dell Latitude 5590, and what step is often missed?

The SSD slot is inside the chassis; remove the base screws, lift the cover, insert the drive at an angle, secure it with the retention screw, then reconnect the battery before closing.

What maintenance will the 32 GB DDR4 memory configuration need later?

The memory is soldered and not user-upgradable; no routine maintenance is required, but a future capacity increase would require a motherboard replacement.

At what point does the Intel UHD Graphics 620 limit sustained workloads?

The integrated GPU shares system memory and thermal budget with the i7-8650U, so extended 3D or video tasks throttle clock speeds once the 15 W TDP envelope is reached.
