Questions about this item

Can the 8 GB DDR4 memory be upgraded later?

The laptop ships with 8 GB DDR4 soldered to the board; no user-accessible slots are provided, so the memory cannot be increased after purchase.

What thermal limit appears first when the i5-8350U runs at 3.60 GHz for long periods?

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 shares the same cooling envelope, so sustained turbo clocks quickly hit the processor's thermal ceiling and throttle back.

How loud does the fan get and how hot does the chassis feel during an all-day shift?

The rugged chassis uses a single internal fan that spins up noticeably under load; the magnesium-alloy deck warms to the touch but stays within the rated operating range.
