Precision 5530 mobile workstation

The Dell Precision 5530 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i9-8950HK six-core processor and NVIDIA Quadro P2000 dedicated graphics with 4GB GDDR5 memory. It targets professionals who need certified application performance for 3D design, engineering simulation or video editing while moving between desk and site. The 1920 x 1080 IPS display covers 72% colour gamut and includes a non-touch InfinityEdge panel. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed.

Check ports power and memory slots

Verify that your existing dock or monitor uses HDMI 2.0 or Thunderbolt 3 because the laptop provides one of each alongside two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports and a headset jack. The system ships with 16GB DDR4 installed and the platform supports up to 32GB total, so confirm whether you need to add modules before deployment. Storage uses a 512GB M.2 drive plus a 2TB SSD; check the M.2 interface type in your workflow if drive swaps are planned. The included AC adapter matches the unit's original specification.

Thunderbolt 3 dock ready storage split

The single Thunderbolt 3 port enables a one-cable dock that can drive external displays and peripherals while charging the laptop. Dual storage gives a fast 512GB M.2 volume for the operating system and active projects plus a separate 2TB SSD for archives or media libraries. HDMI 2.0 lets you connect a 4K external monitor directly without a dock. Windows 10 Pro provides BitLocker encryption and domain join for managed IT environments.
