Ready for CAD and simulation

The Dell Precision 7730 is a 17.3 inch mobile workstation built around a six-core Intel Core i7-8750H processor and an NVIDIA Quadro P3200 graphics card with 6GB GDDR5 memory. It ships with 128GB DDR4 RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD, running Windows 10 Pro. This configuration targets engineers and designers who need certified professional graphics performance in a portable chassis.

Check power and display needs

Verify that your workflow can use a 1920 x 1080 IPS panel with 72% colour gamut coverage and a non-touch surface. The system includes a Dell AC adapter; confirm the connector matches your region or docking setup. Ensure any external monitors you plan to drive support HDMI 2.0 or the available Thunderbolt 3 and DisplayPort outputs for the required resolution and refresh rate.

Silver chassis with Thunderbolt 3

The silver and black chassis houses two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, one Thunderbolt 3 port, one HDMI 2.0 port and a headphone/microphone combo jack. This selection allows direct connection of high-speed storage, docks and up to two external displays without adapters. The integrated webcam and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth combo support remote collaboration, while the dedicated Quadro GPU handles GPU-accelerated rendering tasks.
