Compact convertible workstation

The HP EliteBook x360 1040 G5 G6 is a 13.3 inch 2-in-1 laptop built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor. It integrates 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. The FHD IPS touchscreen uses Corning Gorilla Glass and supports a 360-degree hinge for tablet, tent or laptop modes.

Mobile professionals needing pen input

This device suits users who want a lightweight convertible with a spill-resistant keyboard, Windows 10 Pro and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620. Buyers who want more storage, discrete graphics, user-replaceable memory or a larger display should look at something else. The onboard RAM cannot be upgraded after purchase.

Straightforward deployment

The laptop arrives with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit pre-installed and drivers ready for the touchscreen, webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and Thunderbolt ports. No internal assembly is required. The most common issue is forgetting that the 8 GB DDR42133 memory is soldered, so future capacity increases are not possible.
