Purpose-built hospitality AP

The HPE Aruba Networking R3V48A AP-505H is a Wi-Fi 6 access point designed for hotels, dormitories and similar multi-tenant environments. Its compact housing mounts vertically on a wall or desk and integrates semi-directional antennas optimised for that orientation. The unit delivers dual-radio 2x2 MIMO connectivity for guests and staff.

Five-port switch with PoE out

One 2.5 Gbps Smart Rate uplink and four 1 Gbps downlink ports provide wired connectivity for IP phones, smart TVs or streaming devices. Two of the downlink ports supply PoE power to attached endpoints, reducing the need for separate injectors. A USB port is also present for future expansion or peripheral support.

Uplink speed and PoE budget limits

The single 2.5 Gbps uplink caps aggregate wireless and wired throughput to that rate, so heavy simultaneous usage may saturate the link. PoE output is constrained by the 50 W maximum consumption of the unit itself, limiting the number of powered devices. Vertical mounting is required for the stated antenna gain of 5.2 dBi at 2.4 GHz and 5.4 dBi at 5 GHz.
