Business ultrabook for office work

The Lenovo ThinkPad T480 is a 14-inch Full HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-8250U quad-core processor with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB solid-state drive. It runs Windows 10 Pro and includes integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620, a non-touch IPS panel, webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and an RJ-45 Ethernet port. The chassis weighs approximately 3.6 lbs and measures 13.25 x 9.15 x 0.78 inches.

Professionals needing reliable productivity

This configuration suits users who want a durable business laptop with ample SSD storage, a comfortable keyboard and a full selection of legacy ports including HDMI and USB 3.1. Buyers who require a touchscreen, a discrete GPU for creative workloads or a lighter chassis should consider other models.

1 TB solid-state drive capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 1 TB SSD, which provides substantial space for operating system, applications and local files without relying on external storage. If your workload demands more capacity or a second drive bay, this unit will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

How hot does the Core i5-8250U run under sustained load?

The quad-core i5-8250U operates at 1.6 GHz base frequency with 6 MB L2 cache; integrated UHD 620 graphics share the same thermal envelope, so temperatures rise with prolonged CPU and GPU demand.

What is the fan noise level during all-day operation?

The 14.0" chassis measures 13.25" x 9.15" x .78" and weighs 3.6 lbs; the compact ultrabook form factor uses a single fan that becomes audible when the i5-8250U sustains high clocks.

Which power adapter must I already own to charge the laptop?

The unit ships with an OEM 45 W or 65 W AC adapter; the USB-C port accepts USB 3.1 power delivery, so any compatible USB-C charger rated at 45 W or higher will also work.
