Verify your peripheral and memory needs

This unit provides 8GB of soldered DDR4 with no empty slots for expansion. Confirm that 8GB meets your multitasking requirements before ordering. Connectivity includes USB 3.1 ports, one USB-C port, HDMI, and RJ-45 Ethernet. Wireless uses Intel Dual Band Wi-Fi with Bluetooth 4.1. An SD card reader and fingerprint reader are optional and may be absent.

Included power adapter enables immediate use

An OEM 45W or 65W AC adapter is bundled so the laptop can be powered and charged out of the box. Windows 11 Pro is already licensed and activated, removing the need for a separate OS purchase or installation. The 1TB SSD leaves no drive bay for a second internal drive. No optical drive is present.

Questions about this item

Does the box include anything besides the ThinkPad T490 and its AC adapter?

The package contains the laptop and an OEM 45W or 65W AC adapter. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed. No external cables, docks or carrying case are supplied.

Should I pick the 8 GB / 1 TB SSD build or a 16 GB / 512 GB alternative for heavier multitasking?

This unit ships with 8 GB DDR4 and a 1 TB SSD. If you run many browser tabs, VMs or large spreadsheets simultaneously, a 16 GB configuration will feel smoother, though the larger drive here stores more local files.

What does the 1.6 GHz quad-core i5-8250U actually deliver in daily office work?

The 8th-generation quad-core processor with 6 MB cache handles typical productivity — email, documents, video calls and web apps — without lag. Integrated UHD 620 graphics drives the 14.0" 1920 x 1080 IPS panel and supports external displays via HDMI.
