ThinkPad T490 with quad-core i5-8265U

The Lenovo ThinkPad T490 is a 14.0-inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-8265U processor with four cores and a 4.1 GHz turbo frequency. It comes with 12GB of DDR4 memory and a 256GB SATA solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed.

Suited for office work and light travel

This configuration handles typical productivity tasks, video calls and document editing thanks to the quad-core processor, integrated graphics and 720p webcam. The fingerprint reader adds quick sign-in security. Buyers who need more than 256GB of internal storage or a higher-resolution display should look elsewhere.

1366 x 768 HD panel limits visual detail

The 14.0-inch screen uses a 1366 x 768 resolution at 60 Hz, which is adequate for text but not for detailed design work or multi-window layouts. Connectivity includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI, Thunderbolt and USB 3.1 Type-C ports.
