1×8 HDMI splitter for multi-display setups

The LUOM HW-HD4K takes one HDMI source and mirrors it across eight HDMI displays simultaneously. It supports video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 and handles 3D content plus deep colour formats. The unit includes an AC power adaptor for stable signal amplification over longer cable runs. Ideal for conference rooms, digital signage, classrooms and home theatre distributions.

HDMI 1.4b bandwidth and resolution ceiling

The splitter operates within the HDMI 1.4b specification, limiting maximum output to 3840 x 2160 at standard refresh rates. Higher refresh rates or wider colour gamuts beyond this bandwidth are not supported. Audio pass-through covers LPCM, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio and other common formats up to 7.1 channels. All eight outputs share the same timing and EDID negotiation window of six seconds.

Check source and cable compatibility before ordering

Verify that your source device can drive the required resolution over HDMI 1.4b and that your cables are rated for the run lengths involved. The splitter does not convert or downscale signals; every display must support the source’s native timing. It is not suited for buyers who need independent content on each screen, matrix switching between multiple sources, or HDMI 2.0 and higher feature sets such as 4K at 60 Hz.

Questions about this item

Is the HW-HD4K the only 1×8 model LUOM offers, or are there other versions?

The HW-HD4K is the single 1×8 splitter listed; no alternative versions or capacities appear in the specifications.

What does the 3840×2160 figure mean when the splitter is connected to my displays?

Each of the eight outputs can deliver up to 3840×2160 resolution, matching the input signal across all screens simultaneously.

Which HDMI standard does the HW-HD4K use, and what resolution does that cap in practice?

The unit operates to HDMI 1.3b, which limits the maximum supported resolution to 1440p despite the 3840×2160 headline figure.
