Ready-to-game desktop with Ryzen 7 3700X

The Velztorm Pilum arrives assembled and tested with a 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen 7 3700X eight-core processor, 64GB DDR4 memory, a 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD paired with a 6TB hard drive, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super graphics card. It ships with Windows 10 Pro installed and a 750W power supply.

Simple peripheral setup, limited wireless

Connecting a monitor, keyboard and mouse is straightforward through the HDMI, DisplayPort and multiple USB 3.0 ports, but the system only includes 802.11n Wi-Fi and no Bluetooth, so faster wireless standards and wireless peripherals are not supported out of the box.

GTX 1660 Super caps modern titles at 1080p

The 6GB GDDR6 card handles current games at 1080p with DirectX 12 and G-SYNC, yet its VRAM and architecture limit higher resolutions and newer rendering features. The 750W supply and AIO cooler give headroom for the existing parts but leave little margin for a substantially larger GPU.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the Ryzen 7 3700X is running at its 4.4 GHz boost after setup?

Open Task Manager or a hardware monitor and watch the CPU frequency climb to 4.4 GHz under load; the 8-core, 32 MB cache processor will show all cores active.

What comes in the box and what must I buy separately?

The desktop includes the 750 W power supply, RGB 120 mm AIO liquid cooler, 64 GB DDR4, 4 TB PCIe SSD, 6 TB HDD, GTX 1660 Super, Wi-Fi and Windows 10 Pro; you add a monitor, keyboard and mouse.

Which RAM capacity should I choose from the 16, 32, 64 or 128 GB DDR4 options?

This unit ships with 64 GB DDR4 DIMM; select 16 or 32 GB for lighter workloads, or 128 GB if you run heavy virtualisation or content-creation tasks.
