SATA to dual fan power splitter

This cable draws 12 V power from a standard SATA connector on the PSU and splits it to two 3-pin or 4-pin fan headers. The black sleeved jacket protects the 22 AWG copper conductors over a 10 inch run. It is aimed at builders who need extra fan connections without using motherboard headers.

Two fans at fixed 12 V

The splitter energises only two pins on each fan connector, so every attached fan runs at full 12 V speed all the time. PWM control and speed throttling are not possible through this adapter. It comfortably handles two case fans, but cannot support voltage-regulated or PWM-managed cooling curves.

No PWM speed control

Because only the power and ground pins are wired, the cable cannot transmit PWM signals to the fans. Buyers who need motherboard-controlled fan curves or variable-speed operation must use a different connection method.
